RAISING AWARENESS, PROVIDING SUPPORT, AND BUILDING COMMUNITY FOR FOSTER CARE AND ADOPTION - LOCALLY AND AROUND THE WORLD.

Why We Exist

The Entrusted Conference was started because of an evident need to bring greater community and resources to current and prospective foster care and adoptive families in Virginia and surrounding areas.

One other goal of the conference is to raise awareness about the needs in our community and around the world related to foster care and adoption.

We acknowledge that there are many agencies, organizations, and local churches within our community that offer significant resources and we have attempted, through the conference, to bring them together in one place for people to be able to make informed decisions and be encouraged.

Our History

The first Entrusted Conference was launched in November 2016 at CrossRoads Church. It was a tremendous success as we saw people connect with other families like themselves, learn how to take next steps or first steps in their journey, and even get excited about how to care for and resource other families. We returned in 2017 to offer many of the favorites from the previous year and also to expand to provide more of what the community was seeking.

In 2018, there has been a bit of restructuring as we grow and become even more intentional about helping the community understand that the Entrusted Network is here to serve the entire community - not just any one church, agency, or organization - through the conference and also throughout the year.

Although we started as a once-a-year conference, we would like people to understand that the resources and support we offer are available year round.

Meet the Team

Kevin and Lauren Tremper

Kevin and Lauren founded the Entrusted Conference in 2016. Kevin is the lead pastor at CrossRoads Church in Norfolk, Va. and Lauren is the Director of Entrusted.

We have 5 children (David, Emma, Sarah, Jayden, and Caleb)- 3 of whom are biological and 2 adopted from foster care.

We are passionate about loving these children from hard places and also about helping the community understand the realities of adoption...the joys and the hardships. We understand that not all people are called and equipped to adopt, but we are all called to engage with orphan care in one way or another.

It's our desire to help you figure out what that looks like for you and your family.

Alex and Charlotte Lloyd

We are Alexander and Charlotte Lloyd and these are our daughters Eliana, Nora, and Verity. Even before getting married, we felt called to foster/adopt. We believed it was important to share the burden with the children in our city who were not able to live with their parents for one reason or another.

Alex is active duty Navy and while we were stationed in San Diego, CA we had the privilege of fostering 7 children and adopting our oldest 2 daughters.

We are currently members of Trinity Presbyterian Church and licensed foster parents in the city of Norfolk. We are excited for this community of believers to support each other and serve the children of this city by providing safe and loving homes.

Aaron and Monique Ransom

We are Aaron and Monique Ransom and this is our family. A little over four years ago the Lord laid it on our hearts to become foster parents and our oldest two children, Madison and Alexander were placed in our home. Our youngest son, Micah, was born while their adoption was being finalized a short time later.
Currently, we are members of New Life Church and as program coordinators of our church's Adoption Ministry, we are excited to be a part of a vision to see “no more” orphans in Hampton Roads by educating, equipping, and supporting families in our church and community.
It is an honor to be a part of the Entrusted team where we can align with local churches in our community to raise awareness, provide support and build a community for foster and adoptive families!

Matt and Kim Olson

We are Matt and Kim Olson from Norfolk, VA. We're blessed to be parents to Josh, Wyatt, Silas, and Mae Anne. Matt serves in the military and Kim stays at home. We're passionate about special needs, adoption, and extending God's message that everyone has value, dignity, and worth.

God used the beauty and challenges of our firstborn son's disability to transform our hearts and adopt a child from China with the same disability.

As members of CrossRoads Church in Norfolk, we are excited to bring adoption awareness to our local church and community. We're grateful to be a part of the Entrusted team!
